Description:
Kakushi Gotou is a manga artist who produces content deemed inappropriate by some. He has made a solemn promise to keep his profession a secret from his young daughter, Hime, as he fears she will be disenchanted if she discovers the nature of his work. Kakushi's paranoia leads him into various frenzied situations as a single father. He goes to extreme lengths to protect his secret, including assuming the guise of a salaryman and conducting emergency drills in case Hime stumbles upon his workplace. The anime, Kakushigoto, chronicles the day-to-day existence of a father and daughter as they attempt to maintain their tranquil lifestyle while he endeavors to maintain the status quo. However, the adage that "time reveals all secrets" becomes true for Hime as she gradually discovers the harsh realities that underlie her father's life.
