Whenever burdened with heavy thoughts, Kino, a 15-year-old, seeks solace in travel. Exploring a world of diverse cultures and lifestyles fills her with renewed happiness. Though her charming appearance and soft demeanor may suggest otherwise, Kino owns formidable pistols-"Cannon" and "Woodsman" — that keep her safe on the journey. Hermes, a sentient motorcycle, is her constant companion and trusted sidekick who has loyally stood by her through thick and thin. They venture out with the shared goal of perpetual motion and a strict principle of staying no more than three days in any one country. As they travel, they encounter new individuals and societies, learning their customs and values. This process of discovery leads them to their own identity and principles. However, the unknown territory poses potential risks to their safety, and so Kino remains watchful to navigate the perils that could arise.
