Description:
The human race survived the destruction of Earth caused by the enigmatic Gauna beings by fleeing on the gargantuan generation vessel, Sidonia. The vessel had been drifting in space for centuries until an unexpected attack by the Gauna threatened to obliterate the last remnants of humanity after a hundred years of peace. The hybrid Tsumugi Shiraui and the celebrated Guardian mech pilot Nagate Tanikaze secured a temporary victory against the alien threat. But even after a decade, the peace on Sidonia remains fragile, as Captain Kobayashi had always anticipated that the Gauna would return and threaten the last of the human race. Tsumugi begins to acknowledge her love for Nagate as peaceful days continue, and he is recognized as a hero of Sidonia. However, the prospect of the return of the Gauna threatens their peaceful existence, and the crew must engage in a final battle to protect their loved ones and determine the fate of humanity's last survivors. As the end approaches, will they prevail against the alien threat?
