In the wake of a devastating war, Haruka emerges as the solitary human left on Earth. But Haruka is not entirely alone, having been embraced by a small cadre of advanced androids who help her in her lonely existence. Spike, a playful android with a strong attachment to Haruka; Trigger, a quick-tempered, gun-slinging robot; Cleric, an intellectual problem-solver; Reeves, a surprisingly sensitive android with a foreboding presence; and Angela, a stoic swordswoman with an intense dislike for humans, round out Haruka's extended family of machines. Together, they reside in a towering structure at the city's epicenter, where their daily lives are filled with a sense of relative tranquility. But stability is far from assured in this hazardous world. Haruka confronts a daily battle to maintain even minimal standards of survival, struggling against a dearth of supplies and the ever-present threat of rogue robots who lash out with violence.
