Description:
The film is comprised of nine distinct short segments, each created by one of Japan's top animators and centered around the theme of "Robots." While the segments are independent from one another, they share a common thread of exploring the consequences of creating artificial life. The variety in storytelling approaches creates a diverse experience for viewers, ranging from "Franken's Gears" by Koji Morimoto to "Nightmare" by Takashi Nakamura. The film opens with "Opening" by Atsuko Fukushima and Katsuhiro Otomo and concludes with "Ending" by the same duo. Among the other segments are "Presence" by Yasuomi Umetsu, "A Tale of Two Robots" by Hiroyuki Kitakubo, and "Deprive" by Hidetoshi Omori.
