Description:
Houseki no Kuni is set in a mysterious future world, where six meteors have caused destruction and crystalline organisms, known as Gems, now inhabit it. The Gems have been assigned roles to fight the Lunarians, who attack them to shatter their bodies and use as decorations. Phosphophyllite, or Phos, a frail and youthful Gem, yearns to help in the war. However, they are tasked with compiling an encyclopedia due to their delicate nature. While completing this duty, Phos encounters Cinnabar, an intelligent mate, who patrols an isolated island at night due to the corrosive poison that their body emanates. Wanting to help, Phos searches for a role that they can both enjoy, following their journey to become useful and protect their fellow Gems.
