Description:
Toshokan Sensou is an anime that follows the story of Kasahara Iku, the Library Task Force's first female member. The tale is set in a dystopian Japan of the future, where the Media Enhancement Law's enforcement leads to censorship of literature and media. As a result, the Library Defense Force is established to protect books and media freedom against the Media Enhancement Law Commission. All major libraries have a powerful military Task Force, which vows to secure unique books and artifacts from the Commission's tyranny. The series documents Iku and her team's struggle to protect these items while incorporating various elements such as love, war, and comedy.
