Description:
Humanity lives in "Sides," collections of colonies in space, during the Universal Century's 0079th year. The "Principality of Zeon" declares itself as a Side and wages war against the governing body of Earth, the Earth Federation. They use "mobile suits," which are advanced humanoid robots to dominate their adversary. The Earth Federation designs and produces its own powerful mobile suit called the Gundam, following nine months of conflict. However, when Zeon attacks the colony that hosts the Gundam, a civilian teenager named Amuro Ray is suddenly thrown into the conflict. Amuro is forced to journey from Earth to space, where he must confront Zeon's proficient pilot, Char Aznable.
