Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED series has been compiled into three TV movies: 1. Kokuu no Senjou (The Empty Battlefield) 2. Harukanaru Akatsuki (The Far-Away Dawn) 3. Meidou no Sora (The Rumbling Sky) The Gundam Seed: Special Edition movies aim to provide an alternative version of the TV series by condensing all 50 episodes into a complete recap. Originally televised in Japan, these episodes showcase new scenes and adjustments to previously animated ones. The first special, The Empty Battlefield, consolidates episodes 1 to 21, broadcasted in two parts in March 2004. The second special, The Far-Away Dawn, compiles episodes 22 to 40, releasing in July 2004. The third and final special, The Rumbling Sky, encompasses episodes 41 to 50. Although the storyline remains mainly unaltered, some minor changes have been made, and certain scenes are entirely reworked and re-voiced.
