Life goes on in the colonies orbiting Earth during the year Universal Century 0096, three years after Char Aznable failed to compel human settlement in space. Banagher Links, a 16-year-old leading a peaceful existence among his peers, resides in Side 4. Audrey Burne, the last surviving member of a despotic lineage, takes it upon herself to pilfer the key to a mysterious apparatus known as "Laplace's Box." Whispers in the galaxy claim that the Box harbors the ability to control the fate of everything. Audrey ventures to Side 4 to snatch the key from its current owner and thwart the Sleeves, the remaining descendants of Char Aznable's Neo-Zeon faction, from their pursuit of the Box. During her quest, she meets Banagher and alters his life in immeasurable ways. Following Sleeves' assault on Side 4, with the help of relentless fighters Marida Cruz and Full Frontal, Banagher takes charge of the freshly-built Gundam Unicorn to safeguard his loved ones and the destiny of humanity.
