Description:
Monkey Punch's collection of animations was featured on WOWOW in a variety show format where each of the 12 episodes ran for 52 minutes. The show contained a unique 15-minute Crime Mate episode that was exclusively available on DVD. Each episode was divided into three sections: Mini Stage (lasting for 15 minutes), Grand Stage (lasting for 30 minutes), and 60-second intervals. Although the Lupin characters appeared in the interval section called The Lupin Gang, they remained mute and relied purely on visual jokes to engage the audience. Another segment, called Mankatsu Monkey, consisted of a monkey that only said "Mankatsu," backed by the Lupin characters.
