Description:

Through feudal Japan, the Medicine Seller journeys to track down malevolent spirits called "mononoke". He is an adept in the occult and a force to be reckoned with. However, his task does not stop at destroying these entities - he must first discern their Form, Truth, and Reason and wield the powerful Exorcism Sword. Moreover, before reaching the final stage of vanquishing the spirit, the Medicine Seller must undergo a perilous initiation that involves scrupulously analyzing his psychological well-being and investigating the nature of the mononoke. Whilst carrying out his mission, the Medicine Seller stumbles upon an old-fashioned inn where Shino, a woman carrying a child, seeks refuge. Despite the innkeeper allocating Shino the only available room, the Zashiki Warashi, a deadly group of mononoke, haunts her lodging. With his intuition, the Medicine Seller probes these malevolent spirits to determine their Form, Truth, and Reason, and halt them from claiming any further lives.
