Description:

Professor Yuuko Kouzuki's technology and Kasumi Yashiro's psychic powers enable Cadet Takeru Shirogane to return to his home world. With urgency driving him, Takeru seeks Yuuko's assistance in completing the Alternative IV project—an initiative that stands as humanity's last hope against the BETA, aliens that have infiltrated and are taking over the planet. As the race to finalize the anti-BETA project nears its end, Takeru and his fellow cadets bid farewell to the Yokohama pilot training academy. In an unfortunate twist, Takeru and his team are ambushed by the BETA as they test the Tactical Surface Fighters, massive fighting machines humanity uses to battle the aliens. Takeru's escape is narrow and leaves him scarred from the brutal death of someone close to him. No longer equipped to fight, Takeru escapes back to the other world, where fate unleashes yet another heartbreaking event. As stated by Yuuko's theory, parallel universes tend to endure identical tragedies. Hence, Takeru must gather the strength to overcome his trauma if he wishes to protect his loved ones.
