Description:

Satoshi was invited by Professor Yukinari Ookido to attend the opening ceremony of Professor Sakuragi's lab in Vermillion City in the Kanto region. The ceremony was interrupted by an alert about a potential sighting of a rare Pokémon in the city's harbor. Satoshi and fellow trainers rushed to the harbor in search of the elusive creature, only to find it engaged in a battle with other trainers. Observing the battle, Satoshi instructed Pikachu to attack the Legendary Pokémon Lugia with a Thunderbolt. However, the attack had no effect, and Lugia attempted to escape. But Satoshi was determined to catch the monster and bravely leapt onto its back. To his surprise, he found another boy, Gou, on the monster's back as well. The duo then embarked on a thrilling adventure, riding Lugia across the seas and visiting new regions along the way. Eventually, Lugia dropped the duo back onto solid ground, and they said their goodbyes before returning to the Sakuragi Institute. Impressed by Satoshi and Gou's findings, Professor Sakuragi requests that they become his research partners. Thus, the duo embarks on a journey across multiple regions to meet and study various Pokémon, including ones that have the power to Gigantamax!
