Description:
The film is the eighth in the series. In Lohta, a festive celebration is held honoring the legend of "Aaron the Wave Leader Hero," who reputedly utilized the power of the "Tree of the World's Origin" to prevent a war centuries ago. Satoshi and Pikachu take part in a contest to determine this year's hero, and when they emerge victorious, they become the chosen "Wave Leader Hero." While a grand ball is being held in their honor at the castle, the phantom Pokemon Mew suddenly appears and kidnaps Pikachu. Shortly after, the Wave Leader Pokemon "Lucario" is released from his confinement and meets Satoshi. As Satoshi journeys to the "Tree of the World's Origin" with Lucario to recover Pikachu, he is faced with the challenge of unraveling the riddles surrounding the legend of the Wave Leader and Lucario's enigmatic past that links it to Mew.
