Once upon a time, a terrible tragedy struck a gorgeous princess when her parents passed away. Overwhelmed with grief, it appeared that nothing could alleviate her pain. However, a prince passing by her kingdom decided to pay the princess a visit in hopes of cheering her up. After wiping her tears away, the prince gifted her with a ring embellished with a rose emblem, promising that they would meet again as long as she held onto it. This gesture of kindness left an indelible mark on the young princess, Utena Tenjou, and inspired her to become a prince herself. Years later, Utena enrolled in Ootori Academy, which brandished the same emblem as her cherished ring. While exploring the school grounds, she stumbled upon Anthy Himemiya, the student council president Touga Kiryuu, and vice president Kyouichi Saionji engaged in a heated argument over the care of the school's rose garden. Unbeknownst to Utena, this encounter would spark a chain of events that would drag her into the world of Duelists - individuals who possessed rings similar to hers. The Duelists fought fiercely for ownership of the Rose Bride, Anthy Himemiya, rumoured to host formidable powers. Motivated by her desire to prove herself as a valiant prince and save Anthy from her cruel fate, Utena found herself embroiled in a battle against the Duelists - an experience she never could have foreseen.
