The Seishou Music Academy is getting ready for its annual Seishou Festival, and the girls from the 99th class are preparing to put on their own version of Starlight. The play tells the tragic story of two goddesses who are drawn together by the beauty of the sky but who are fated to be separated forever. The school is specifically designed to nurture future stars, so it focuses on developing the girls' singing, dancing, and acting abilities. Karen Aijou is one of the 16-year-old students in the class. She is an easygoing girl who has dreamed of performing on stage since she was a child. When her childhood friend, Hikari Kagura, transfers to the Seishou Academy, Karen's passion for the theater is reignited. One day, Hikari takes Karen to a secret elevator that leads to a large theater beneath the school. The elevator is operated by a talking giraffe, and it serves as a battleground for the students. The girls compete in duels to see who deserves the title of "Top Star" and the opportunity to play one of the lead roles in Starlight. Karen is determined to become a star with her friend, and she enters the battles with the hope of turning their dream into a reality.
