Description:

The underground "Labyrinth" houses clusters of human colonies, and the surface above is a distant memory or even a mere illusion to those who haven't seen it. Specialized jobs exist to make living in these harsh conditions possible, including miners and explorers called "Markers" who navigate the surprisingly lush environment and report back vital information. However, humanity is constantly threatened by aggressive creatures called "kaijuu" that can range from small to building-sized and can even infiltrate the colonies. Nine-year-old college graduate, Memenpu, has invented devices that greatly aid the Workers in her local colony. However, she dreams of an endless sky unbounded by rock and aspires to become a Marker to discover this mythical place. Despite her father's angry objections and a dangerous incident with the kaijuu, Memenpu's adventure unravels and changes humanity's future forever.
