Description:

The aftermath of a global catastrophe has left Japan in ruins, resulting in a surprising amount of greenery taking over the earthquake-devastated landscape. A world government regulates most of the world's emissions, causing a vast economic gap between the privileged and underprivileged. To replace Tokyo, the Japanese government initiates "Project Atlas," a grand plan for a utopian city capable of housing a specific number of residents, leaving others to live as refugees in the surrounding jungles. However, opposition arises from those who reject the flawed plan. Among them are Kuniko Houjou, who hails from a rebel town; Mikuni, a powerful child kept in a clandestine temple; Kunihito Kusanagi, a soldier of the elite corporation Atlas; Karin Ishida, a genius economic strategist with dealings across the world; and the sinister Ryouko Naruse, the head of Atlas, driving the venture towards full domination. Can this determined group, known as "Metal-Age," challenge the status quo, inspiring the strength of unity over cruel segregation?
