Description:
Japan is under attack by monsters following the appearance of a mysterious Black Shinkansen. The Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute (SUEI) has taken up the challenge of investigating these occurrences. They possess a formidable weapon, Shinkalions - bullet trains that can transform into giant mecha. Hayato Hayasugi, a train enthusiast, discovers his father's secret work for SUEI and soon becomes a Shinkalion driver. He and other kids are the country's best hope against these otherworldly enemies. A new formidable enemy from space has arrived with intentions to conquer the planet. Despite having a new prototype Shinkalion called the ALFA-X, Hayato's father Hokuto vanishes. However, a 9-year-old version of Hokuto unexpectedly appears from the past to help combat the extraterrestrial threat and pilot the ALFA-X.
