Description:
Johnny Rico suffered a demotion to colonel and a transfer to a Martian satellite after the events of Invasion. On this satellite, he was tasked with training a fresh batch of troopers, but they proved to be ill-performing due to their Martian background and apathetic attitude towards the bug conflict. Mars, as a whole, was unsupportive of the war, owing to their lack of involvement in the conflict with the bugs. In fact, they even suggested withdrawing from the war. Unfortunately, their negligence led to their unpreparedness for the bug attack. Meanwhile, Sky Marshall Amy Snapp had her own agenda for gaining power, unbeknownst to those around her.
