Despite facing and overcoming many powerful enemies, saving countless innocent lives, and surviving numerous desperate situations, Hibiki Tachibana is currently facing her most formidable challenge yet - completing her summer homework! Although her high school days are fairly ordinary, her experiences as a member of the military group S.O.N.G. are anything but. Equipped with ancient, powerful armor called Symphogear, Hibiki and her comrades work with the United Nations to handle international disasters and conflicts. In a mission briefing, Hibiki learns about a shadowy organization referred to as the Bavarian Illuminati who have been linked to various significant disasters in the past and who are presently operating in the strife-torn country of Val Verde. Hibiki and her team infiltrate one of the Illuminati's manufacturing facilities and liberate hundreds of slaves. However, the organization's top leaders, alchemists Saint-Germain, Cagliostro, and Prelati, are exposed, and they use their alchemical powers to declare a global revolution that results in the sacrifice of thousands of lives. Facing yet another threat to the planet's survival, Hibiki and her comrades must defeat the Bavarian Illuminati in their most challenging and perilous mission yet.
