Description:
While diligently transcribing Buddhist sutras, Iratsume, a young noblewoman, falls under a spell and wanders to a faraway temple where women are forbidden. This provokes the spirit of the executed Prince Otsu, who mistakes Iratsume for one of her predecessors. This forebear was a youthful lady who witnessed his death, and her striking countenance remained engraved in the prince's mind as he passed away. His unsettled ghost searches for comfort, but remains unrestful as long as her image persists in his dreams.
