Description:

The OVA is based on Saikaku Ihara's novel, Koshoku Ichidai Otoko (The Life of an Amorous Man). It tells the story of Yonosuke, a libertine who spends years searching for sexual pleasure, only to be disowned and rejected. Finally, at the age of 34, his father forgives him and bequeaths him great wealth. The story fast-forwards to Yonosuke being 57 and making an unlikely bet with his tailor, Juzo. Juzo has the chance to win a villa if he can sleep with the esteemed courtesan, Komurasaki. However, if he fails, he loses his manhood. Yonosuke, who knows how difficult it is to win over such a high-ranking courtesan, takes Juzo to Edo to meet Komurasaki. Unfortunately, Juzo's nervousness and drunkenness at the tea-house leads to a humiliating moment where he spills wine on Komurasaki's kimono. Fortunately, Komurasaki is unfazed by the incident, quickly returning with a fresh, identical garment.
