Description:
On a mission to assassinate the Emperor's Taoist advisor, who has been killing snakes in order to achieve immortality and gain the Emperor's approval, Xiao-Bai, a white snake demon, is waylaid by the advisor's minions and easily defeated. Fortunately, a demonic hairpin from the Snake Mother saves her life, but her memories are lost in the process. Xiao-Bai wakes up in a Snake-catcher village, oblivious to her true identity as a demon and the fact that her enemies surround her. There, she meets and becomes enamored with the man who rescued her, Xu Xuan. Together, the unlikely duo embarks on a quest to uncover Xiao-Bai's past and secrets of her magical hairpin. Their journey is hampered by Xiao-Qing, Xiao-Bai's sister, who has promised the Snake Mother to recover Xiao-Bai within three days or pay with her life. As Taoists, humans, and demons collide, a tale of forbidden love takes shape.
