Description:

Level-5's Nintendo 3DS video game has been transformed into an animated series. Keita Amano, an elementary school student known as 'Nate' in the English version, discovers a peculiar capsule toy machine deep in the forest. The machine instructs Keita to insert coins, eager to obey, he does so. Upon opening the capsule, a phantom named Whisper appears. Whisper, previously confined in the capsule, becomes Keita's Yo-kai butler and gifts him with a Yo-kai Watch. The watch provides the wearer with the ability to detect supernatural creatures known as Yo-kai, which are typically invisible to humans. Each type of Yo-kai has magic abilities, and the watch allows the wearer to summon any befriended Yo-kai and utilize their powers. Using this powerful tool, Keita and Whisper venture through town, encountering and befriending many mischievous Yo-kai, all while resolving any trouble they may cause.
