Description:
The JAM, an alien race, appeared in the Earth's airspace through a hyperspace passage over Antarctica 33 years ago, with the intent of conquering the planet. Despite their unexpected initial attacks, humanity united and not only managed to repel the JAM forces from Earth but also pushed the war onto the JAM's world, Fairy. Although it goes unnoticed by most of Earth's residents, the war continues on Fairy, with the United Nations establishing five bases there, equipped with a powerful and technologically advanced military, including the Fairy Air Force. Lieutenant Rei Fukai is a pilot in the FAF's Special Air Force's Boomerang reconnaissance squadron. He flies a Super Sylph fighter jet named "Yukikaze" and is responsible for observing the battles for air superiority, collecting and analyzing intelligence about JAM methods. His flying is unmatched, and he relies on his aircraft's highly advanced weaponry and nearly sentient AI system. Despite his antisocial and standoffish nature, other FAF members respect Lt. Fukai's work ethic, and he continues to fulfil his duties with Yukikaze. However, during a brutal battle, the appearance of an unresponsive and hostile aircraft, identical to his own model, catches him off-guard.
