Description:
After six months since the unfortunate accident during Joe and Rikiishi's fight, Joe believes he has moved on from the tragedy and decides to return to the ring. His comeback is impressive, with five successful KO's through body blows. However, when the boxing commission offers him a shot at the national title, it seems like they are just using him to bring him down. The reigning champion, Tiger Ozaki, is quick to capitalize on Joe's weaknesses, ultimately leading to the corner throwing in the towel. Joe is hesitant to throw punches to the face because of the trauma from Rikiishi's death. Youko, the owner of the gym where Rikiishi had trained and Joe's love interest, steps in to recruit a world-ranked Venezuelan boxer, Carlos Rivera, to help guide Joe back to the top and pursue his boxing dreams on a regional and global level.
