The renowned card game, Cardfight Vanguard, has inspired countless individuals to integrate it into their everyday lives, earning them the title of "cardfighters" who often participate in battles at their local card shops. One of the game's avid enthusiasts is Aichi Sendou, a shy and introverted person who endures ridicule and bullying from his peers. Whenever Aichi feels discouraged, he draws strength from his rare and legendary card, Blaster Blade, which he received when he was young. Unfortunately, one day, Aichi's school bully, Katsumi Morikawa, steals Blaster Blade. After a series of events, Aichi discovers that the card now belongs to Toshiki Kai, a newcomer who has become the strongest player in town. To make matters worse, Kai states that he will only return the card if Aichi defeats him in a cardfight. Surprisingly, Aichi summons his bravery, visualizing himself as a winner, and embarks on a thrilling journey into the world of Cardfight Vanguard.
