Description:

Initially, it seemed like a regular day for Ganta Igarashi and his peers, as they geared up for their class field trip to Deadman Wonderland, a prison-themed amusement park where inmates perform dangerous stunts for spectators' entertainment. However, everything changes when an unknown crimson-clad figure perpetrates a slaughter, wiping out Ganta's entire class. On top of that, Ganta is falsely implicated and doomed to execution, and he soon finds himself incarcerated in the same penitentiary that was meant to be a casual visit. Sadly, that was only the opening act of Ganta's nightmare. He must now face the grim reality of life behind bars, complete with sadistic fellow prisoners and mysterious abilities. His existence is constantly threatened by the lethal necklace that is only pacified by victory in the jail's deadly games. Ganta must gamble his very existence to survive in a ruthless space where comrades and enemies are hard to differentiate, all while longing to track down the elusive "Red Man" and exonerate himself, all inside Deadman Wonderland.
