Description:
In the year 20XX, the world is under threat from massive robots known as "Giant Robo (GR)" that are destroying cities. Fear grips the planet as Japan becomes their next target. Daisaku Kusama, a worker in a diving shop, meets a mysterious girl named V who guides him to make a contract with the powerful robot "Giant Robo 1 (GR1)" at the ancient ruins of Minami Yonaguni Island in Okinawa. After being approved by UNISOM, the main organization, Daisaku becomes the commander of GR1 and enters into battle against GRO, the enemy organization, causing much drama. As the 21st century brings about the rise of Giant Robo, its power questions the true meaning of its existence.
