Heading towards the enigmatic "Drifting Island" in a mini-helicopter, Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen embark on a treasure hunt in search of elusive riches. However, their exploration is interrupted by the formidable "Nanomachine," a lethal security system guarding the island. Alarmed by their presence, the system springs to life. Determined to unravel the mystery, the trio seeks answers in Zufu, a once-prosperous nation now ruled by the knife-wielding General Headhunter. Fujiko hacks into the General's computer and uncovers vital information. Meanwhile, Zenigata receives a video message from Lupin expressing his desire for the priceless treasure. Aided by Oleander, a fiery blond officer with a few secrets of her own, Lupin, Goemon, Jigen, and Fujiko return to the "Drifting Island," only to find themselves pursued by General Headhunter.
