Description:
Megalo Box features a sport that uses advanced mechanical attachments called Gear to enhance the strength and speed of boxers. Junk Dog, an underground fighter, rejects compliance and silence as unheroic. Despite his talent, Junk Dog is forced to rig matches at the command of his boss, Gansaku Nanbu, due to his illegal participation in the sport. Unpredictably, Megalo Box champion Yuuri enters Junk Dog's dingy ring disguised as a new challenger and easily knocks him out with one punch. Yuuri then challenges Junk Dog to work his way back up the rankings to reclaim his title. With determination and the help of his criminal previous employers, Junk Dog enters Megalonia, a global tournament to determine the world's strongest Megalo Boxer. Calling himself "Joe," Junk Dog begins his climb from the bottom of the rankings. But with only ninety days to qualify, "Joe" must overcome opponents tougher than any he's ever faced if he wants to meet his adversary's challenge and gain the recognition he craves.
