Description:
Princess Arete is kept confined in the castle tower by her father, spending her days gazing through her window at the world below. On occasion, she ventures out to observe the commoners as they work. The knights of the realm vie for her hand in marriage and control of the kingdom, each endeavoring to procure potent, enchanted artifacts crafted by a long-deceased order of magicians. However, Arete has no interest in this arrangement. She yearns to explore foreign lands and mingle with everyday people, the subjects of her secret library tomes hidden safely beneath her bed. One day, a wondrous flying machine piloted by the sorcerer Boax swoops in, offering to bestow princess status upon Arete and whisk her away as his wife.
