When Yuuta Hibiki awakens in Rikka Takarada's room, he faces two dilemmas: he has no memories and hears a mysterious voice calling him from a nearby room. Scrutinizing the space, he uncovers a robot named Hyper Agent Gridman behind an outdated computer screen. However, Rikka cannot hear Gridman's voice, nor can she see the frightening monsters cloaked in a thick fog. Suddenly, a colossal monster appears in the city and proceeds to create chaos. Amid the turmoil, Yuuta is drawn back to the old computer and merges with Gridman. This leads him into the heat of the action, where he must engage in combat with the monster. With the help of Rikka and fellow student Shou Utsumi, Yuuta creates the "Gridman Alliance," an organization that aims to defeat the monsters causing havoc in the city and discover who is to blame for their existence.
