To celebrate Go Nagai's 50-year tenure as a creator, a new Devilman project has emerged. In this story, Akira Fudou discovers from his closest confidant, Ryou Asuka, that a long-dormant realm of demons has resurfaced and seeks to reclaim the planet from humanity. Ryou advises Akira that the only hope for vanquishing the demons is by integrating their supernatural abilities and combining with a demon. Thus, Akira transforms into Devilman, wielding both the prowess of a demon and a human spirit within. The ultimate battle between Devilman and Akira Fudou ensues.
