Description:
Following a lucrative casino robbery, Arsene Lupin III discovers that the spoils are "Gothic Bills," notorious counterfeit currency that is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Seeking to uncover the source of the fake bills, he recruits Daisuke Jigen and sets off for the small kingdom of Cagliostro. There, a chance meeting with Clarisse d' Cagliostro, daughter of the late Duke d' Cagliostro, reveals a nefarious scheme by Count Cagliostro to force her into marriage and seize her family's fortune. Despite his charming ways, Lupin loathes seeing a woman in peril and takes it upon himself to assist Clarisse. Meanwhile, Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Fujiko Mine, and Kouichi Zenigata become involved in the intrigue for their own reasons. Their investigation eventually leads them to Cagliostro Castle, triggering Lupin's memories of his previous visit to the site a decade earlier and exposing the castle's mysteries.
