Shirobako Specials are OVAs that adapt the initial episodes of two fictional TV anime created by Musashino Animation in the primary Shirobako anime series. Exodus!: Shutsu Tokyo Tracy, the struggling idol group, consists of Akane, Aya, and Alpine, who are all trying to make a name for themselves. After a futile performance at a supermarket that fails to attract a decent crowd, the trio's leader, Akane, decides to shake things up by confronting their apathetic manager, Taguchi. But when the girls find Taguchi's corpse in a storage room, they become the prime suspects in his murder case while simultaneously accomplishing their dreams of fame. Daisan Hikou Shoujotai: FALLING ANGEL The 307 Aerial Squad, also known as "Hell Alice," fights alongside a worldwide military resistance against the enigmatic Builders. These builders have covered a third of the Earth's surface with mysterious structures called Pillars. With the Pillars disabling all aircraft built after the 1970s, Hell Alice must use outdated equipment against the Builders' advanced technology. Among them is Aria Hitotose, a talented Japanese schoolgirl who never hesitates in even the most severe of situations. When an operation to rescue survivors from a destroyed base goes awry, Aria and her trustworthy allies must save the day.
