Description:
In the process of expressing the emotions of others, Violet Evergarden may have disregarded her own. As a former child soldier who now works as an Auto Memory Doll, she composes heartfelt letters that capture the sentiments her clients struggle to articulate. However, when a young boy who is gravely ill asks her to write for his loved ones, her own sentiments about love and grief reemerge. This forces her to confront her history, including her feelings about the loss of the Major.
