Description:
In his younger days, Shouya Ishida was an unruly elementary school student who sought to entertain himself in the most ruthless ways possible. Shouko Nishimiya, a deaf student, joined his class and became the subject of their cruel bullying. Despite her mother's intervention, Shouya was the only one held responsible for his actions and Shouko was forced to leave the school. Shouya endured the rejection of his classmates throughout his elementary and middle school years, without any support from the teachers. Now in his third year of high school, Shouya is still tormented by his past actions. The remorseful young man decides to seek redemption by reconciling with Shouko and making amends for his past behavior. Koe no Katachi is a heartwarming story that chronicles Shouya's journey towards redemption, as he bravely confronts his past demons while working to patch things up with Shouko.
