Description:
The Usagiyama Shopping District hosts a unique and tightly-knit group of entrepreneurs. Tamako Kitashirakawa, an endearingly clumsy teenager, hails from a line of mochi makers who operate Tama-ya, a charming shop. One fateful day, Tamako encounters a bird possessing the power of speech who identifies himself as royalty from a far-off place. Dera Mochimazzi, as he’s called, announces his mission to locate a suitable spouse for his nation's prince. Dera tails Tamako to her residence and develops an addiction to mochi, resulting in considerable weight gain, and an inability to fly back to his homeland; hence, he relocates to Tamako's household, becoming a beloved local fixture. Simultaneously, Mochizou Ooji, Tamako's comrade, continues to conceal his true emotions towards her. Their dads are intense mochi competitors, but is this rivalry potent enough to separate Tamako and Mochizou? Furthermore, how will Dera resolve his quest for the prince's future wife?
