Description:

Set in the city of Heartland, the story follows the journey of Yuma, an amateur duelist who aspires to become the champion of Duel Monsters in the near future. He faces a school bully in a duel when a mysterious spirit called Astral unexpectedly intervenes, aiding Yuma in his victory. Astral discloses to Yuma that he is in search of his disappeared memories, transformed into 99 "Xyz Monster" cards dubbed "Numbers", scattered around the world. These cards have the potential to take over the duelists who own them, exposing their innermost desires. Yuma joins forces with Astral in pursuit of recovering his memories and finding the "Numbers" cards.
