Description:

GASP, a band known for their violent music, is struggling to gain popularity against Aikawa Yoji, who is loved by his fans and holds the number one spot on the charts. Two weeks before their mainstream debut concert at Yaon Hibiya auditorium in 1987, lead vocalist To-Y was attacked by Aikawa, their rival, during their performance at Shinjuku Loft. Their success at the concert is under threat by Aikawa's manager, Ms. Kato, who wants To-Y to sing for a major label as a solo artist. Adding to the chaos is the appearance of Niya, a feline-like character who declares herself to be To-Y's lover to the confusion of Koishikawa Hiderou, also known as "Sonoko-chan," who has a romantic interest in To-Y. Niya refers to Koishikawa as an "okama." Furthermore, GASP, their fans, and associates are viewed as unconventional by the mainstream public due to their unique taste in music, fashion, and preference for Classic Coke, making it even more challenging for GASP to gain acceptance.
