The final DVD of Clannad ~After Story~ contains an additional episode that takes place in a parallel universe where Kyou Fujibayashi replaces Nagisa Furukawa as the main heroine. The complexities of love are explored in this episode as Kyou's sister, Ryou Fujibayashi, confesses her feelings to Tomoya Okazaki, the male lead, with Kyou's help. Tomoya and Ryou become a couple, but Kyou soon realizes her own feelings for Tomoya, creating a love triangle.
