Description:
Ten members of the Kitauji High School concert band fail to meet the rigorous standards set in the auditions for the Kyoto Prefectural Concert Band competition. However, these individuals, now calling themselves Team Monaka, remain unwavering in their support for their fellow musicians until the day of the event. Their contributions range from carrying equipment to fashioning good-luck charms in the shape of monaka. Thanks to Team Monaka's dedication, the summer leading up to the nationals proves to be unforgettable, albeit bittersweet.
