Description:
Due to a curse, Marco Pagot, a former World War I ace, transforms into Porco Rosso, a legendary bounty hunter who operates in the Adriatic Sea and thwarts sky pirates. He chooses to seclude himself on an island, seldom venturing away except to meet the beautiful Gina at her hotel or to hunt bounties. One day, Porco Rosso's inadequate engine forces him to make a trip to get it repaired. However, on his journey, he confronts Donald Curtis, a hotshot American pilot, who shoots him down. To avoid disappointing Gina, Porco Rosso resorts to a loan from Piccolo S.P.A., a famous airplane company, to repair and enhance his aircraft. There, he finds Fio Piccolo, a brilliant 17-year-old engineer, eager to prove herself by reforming Porco Rosso's fighter plane. With Fio's improvements, Porco Rosso prepares to challenge Donald and regain his lost prestige.
